Day 1 | USA – Mexico City
Depart the USA for Mexico City. Meals are served aboard your flight. Upon arrival we meet our Escort and transfer to the hotel in Mexico City (D)

Day 2 | Guadalupe – Teotihuacan – Santiago de Tlatelolco – Mexico City
This morning, through the Plaza of Three Cultures we visit one of the most historical churches in Mexico– Santiago de Tlatelolco. Continue to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe where we will celebrate Holy Mass in the main Basilica before the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Afterward, we go the original church where we learn the history of Juan Diego and the Tilma, with its miraculous image of Our Lady. In the afternoon we head to San Juan Teotihuacan to see the famous archaeological site of the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Dinner and overnight in Mexico City. (B, D)

Day 3 | Tlaxcala – Ocotlán – Cholula – Santa María Tonantzintla – San Francisco Acatepec – Puebla
Today we have a fascinating day of history through the early church in Mexico, showing its Spanish roots and Indian culture. We visit Ocotlán to see the image of Our Lady burnt into a tree trunk. In Cholula we see Mexico’s largest pyramids, and the church of San Francisco Acatepac with its fantastic façade and encrusted spiral columns. Continue to Puebla for overnight. (B, D)

Day 4 | Puebla – Tula – Queretaro
After a filling breakfast we head to the Cathedral and Rosary Chapel. In the supervision of the Dominicans, we will be awed by the architecture and design here. Enjoying the warm weather and sun we continue to Tula, home to the gigantic Toltec Warrior stone columns. We continue our history lesson of Chichen Itza, Hidalgo, Quetzacoatl and the Aztec Empire. This evening we arrive in Queretaro for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 5 | San Miguel Allende – Guanajuato
This morning we take an excursion to San Migeul Allende in Guanajuato. This town attracts thousands of foreign artists, writers, and tourists. The well preserved historic center is home to World Heritage Sites and full of bright colored buildings seemingly built upon one another when seen from a panoramic view. Spend some time in the parish church of San Miguel and enjoy fine Mexican dining. (B, D)

Day 6 | Taxco – Mexico City
Today we travel through the mountains to Taxco, home to some of the World’s finest silver. Mining here began during pre–Hispanic times and continues to produce world class silver pieces. See the stunning main altar of the Santa Prisca Church, celebrate Holy Mass and enjoy lunch before returning to Mexico City for overnight before we head to Cancún for a few days of rest on the beach. Option: Return to USA or Fly to Cancún for a few days of relaxation
Day 7 | Mexico City – Cancún
After breakfast we head to the airport in Mexico City for our flight to Cancún. After a short 2 hour flight arrive in the beach resort city of Cancún where we are transferred to our all-inclusive beach get-away resort. Enjoy the beach for the next few days! (B, D)

Days 8 & 9 | Cancún
Enjoy a few days relaxing on the beach, sipping on unlimited drinks, and delighting yourself with various dining options available all day long. (B, D)

Day 1 | USA – Tel Aviv
Depart the USA for Tel Aviv. Dinner and breakfast will be served during your transatlantic flight.

Day 2 | Tel Aviv – Jerusalem
Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem. Remainder of the day is free to relax and rest after your long flights. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (D)

Day 3 | Jerusalem
In the morning we take a walking tour in the Old City of Jerusalem. From the chapels of the Flagellation and Lithostrotos, follow the 14 Stations of the Cross along the Way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) through the Old City to Calvary and Holy Sepulchre in the Basilica of the Resurrection. In the afternoon we visit the Wailing Wall, the holiest site of Judaism; the Mosques of Al Aksa and the Dome of the Rock– the Islamic presence in the Holy City; the Crusader Church of St. Anne and the Pool of Bethesda. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)

Day 4 | Jerusalem
Start the day from the top of the Mount of Olives with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City. Visit the Chapels of Pater Noster, the Ascension, Dominus Flevit and the Church of All Nations in the Garden of Gethsemane. In the afternoon, visit Mount of Zion, St. Peter in Gallicantu (House of Caiphas), the Room of the Last Supper (Cenacle) and the Tomb of King David. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)

Day 5 | Jerusalem – Caesarea – Nazareth
Today we leave Jerusalem traveling north to Galilee. We will drive the Mediterranean Coast stopping in Caesarea, where we will see ancient Roman ruins. Continue north to Mount Carmel, visiting the Stella Maris Monastery. We go to Nazareth, visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, Mary’s Well and the Chapel of St. Joseph. This evening we have the special opportunity to renew our wedding vows at the ‘Wedding Church’ in Cana. Tonight we stay in Nazareth. (B, D)

Day 6 | Nazareth – Mt. Tabor – Tiberias – Capernaum – Tabgha – Jericho
After a filling breakfast, ascend to the top of Mt. Tabor, the Mount of Transfiguration for Holy Mass. The road up the mountain is so winding we must leave the coach at the base and take little mini–busses up! Our theologian guide and Spiritual Director will tell us about the Transfiguration of Jesus. Later we drive to Tiberius and sail across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum. Visit Capernaum, the home town of Jesus, then the beautiful Mount of Beatitudes, and on to Tabgha – to view the mosaics in the Church of the Loaves and Fishes. Check in this evening at an oasis–like resort in Jericho to rest. (B, D)

Day 7 | Jordan River – Jericho – Dead Sea
Christ was baptized by John in the Jordan River. This morning we beat the crowds by getting to the Jordan River early. On the banks of the Jordan we will celebrate Holy Mass and our Priest will renew our baptisms here. In the late morning visit the excavations of the oldest city in history, Jericho; view the Mount of Temptation. Depending on the energy level of the group, we may ascend the Mount of Temptation by foot. Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth and spend the afternoon relaxing and floating in the Dead Sea. Overnight in Jericho. (B, D)

Day 8 | Bethlehem – Ein Karem – Jericho
Today we visit Bethlehem, the Basilica of the Nativity, the Grotto and the Manger. We also stop at the Shepherd’s Field. In the afternoon we continue to Ein Karem, the Valley of the Visitation, the Magnificat and the birthplace of John the Baptist. Then we take a panoramic drive through the city of Jerusalem, viewing the Knesset building and the Menorah. Dinner and overnight in Jericho. (B, D)

Day 9 | Tel Aviv Departure for USA
After breakfast transfer to the airport in Tel Aviv for your flight home. (B)

Day 10 | Rome
In the morning we will attend the Papal Audience and receive a Blessing by His Holiness the Pope in St. Peter’s Square. (Pending schedule of the Holy Father, subject to change at last moment). In the afternoon, we tour the city including famous monuments of Rome such as, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Novona, Basilica of St. John Lateran and St. Mary Major. (B, D)

Day 11 | Rome
This morning we will visit St. Peter’s Basilica, including Pope St. John Paul II’s tomb in Vatican City. Millions come every year to these breathtaking pilgrimage sites. This is the world’s largest Basilica, designed by architects such as Michelangelo and Gian Lorenzo Bernini. After lunch, we will tour the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, Raphael’s Room, and more. (B)

Day 12 | Rome
You are in the Eternal City –one of the greatest cities in the world. Today is free to relax. Enjoy a lunch on your own, but don’t fill up with too much pasta, as we have a special farewell dinner together tonight. (B, D)

Day 13 | Rome Departure to USA
After breakfast transfer to the airport in Rome for our flight home. Ciao Italia! (B)

Depart the USA for Amman, Jordan. Dinner and breakfast will be served during your transatlantic flight.

Day 2 | Arrival in Jordan
Upon arrival in Amman, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Amman. Remainder of the day is free to relax and rest after your long flights. Our group will enjoy a splendid Middle Eastern dinner tonight at the hotel. (D)

Day 3 | Amman – Mt. Nebo – Madeba – Kerak – Petra
This morning after a filling breakfast we depart Amman for Mt. Nebo, one of Jordan’s most distinguished holy sites, the place Moses was buried. As we visit the Sanctuary at Nebo we take part in a pilgrimage which has been made since the times of the First Testament for we know Moses was an important prophet of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Later we continue to the ‘City of Mosaics”– Madeba, to visit the St. George Church, and to the Castle of Kerak, one of the three largest crusader castles. We arrive in the evening in Petra, where we will spend the following two nights. (B, D)

Day 4 | Petra
This morning we awake in Petra and after breakfast enjoy a walking tour to the Siq or main entrance, to the Treasury. Listen to our guide share history as we take in the marvelous structures hewn into the pink sandstone by the Nabateans. Spend the day in this ancient place. Dinner and overnight in Petra tonight. (B, D)

Day 5 | Petra – Jerash – Israel
Today we pack and get ready for one of our longer days. We leave Petra traveling north to Jerash in the mountains of Gilead, site of some of the best preserved Roman architecture apart from Italy. Our guide will share the history of the Romans here as we immerse ourselves in the beautiful landscapes. There are still city walls, fountains, towers and gates dating to Alexander the Great. Studies and excavations show Jerash was already inhabited during the Bronze Age (3200 BC – 1200 BC). This afternoon we cross into Israel at the Jordan River crossing (Nahar Ha–Yarden/ Sheikh Hussein Crossing). Dinner and overnight in Nazareth. (B, D)

Day 6 | Nazareth – Cana – Haifa – Stella Maris Monastery – Mt. Carmel
This morning we wake to a delicious breakfast. After we’ve had our fill, visit the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth. We will have time for personal reflection before heading to Mary’s Well and the Chapel of St. Joseph. In the late morning we continue to Cana for Holy Mass and a special renewal of our wedding vows at the ‘Wedding Church’. In the afternoon our coach whisks us away to Haifa, Mount Carmel and the Stella Maris Monastery where we take in the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. During our drive, we pass the famed Bahá’í gardens. Return to Nazareth for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Today we meet with our group and depart the USA for Thessaloniki, Greece. Meals will be served upon your transatlantic flight.

Day 2 | Arrival in Thessaloniki
Upon our arrival in Thessaloniki we meet our Escort outside the baggage claim area and load our coach. Depending on the time of arrival, we will have free time to get acquainted with the city. This evening enjoy a delicious dinner together and rest for our exciting journey. (B, D)

Day 3 | Philippi – Kavala – Thessaloniki
We start at the beginning in Philippi, where St. Paul baptized Europe’s first convert, Lydia. We will visit the excavated Roman Forum where we can find the prison in which St. Paul and Silas were kept.

Acts 16: 23-30_ suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened. 27 When the jailer awoke and saw the prison doors opened, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Do not harm yourself, for we are all here!” 29 And he called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 and after he brought them out, he said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Drive on to the ancient coastal city of Neapolis (Kavala) where Saints Paul, Silas, Luke and Timothy first arrived in Europe. Our guide and spiritual director will reflect on the lives of these extraordinary saints throughout the day. Return for dinner and overnight in Thessaloniki. (B, D)

Day 4 | Thessaloniki – Kalabaka
After breakfast we enjoy a panoramic city tour of Thessaloniki. This is the place from which St. Paul wrote to the Thessalonians. These letters are the oldest of the New Testament and give witness to Paul’s courageous work that was greatly opposed.

1 Thessalonians 2_ For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain, but after we had already suffered and been mistreated in Philippi, as you know, we had the boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God amid much opposition.

See the Arch of Galerius and hear the words of St. Paul where he spoke thousands of years ago. We leave Thessaloniki this afternoon and travel to Kalabaka. Here we dine together and rest for tomorrow’s adventures. (B, D)

Day 5 | Kalabaka – Meteora – Delphi
Today we take the short drive to visit the stunning Meteora Monasteries built upon towering rocks. See the Varlaam Monastery which houses relics, icons, crosses, and other Byzantine treasures. After celebrating Mass in this incredible monastery we journey to Delphi, the ancient city. In Delphi we will check into our hotel and enjoy a leisurely evening. Tonight share another splendid local Greek dinner together. (B, D)

Day 6 | Delphi – Athens
We start out with a tour of Delphi. Visit the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios which lies upon the edge of Mount Parnassus. What an incredible view! Learn about the ancient world and the important role of Delphi as a city state. We say farewell to Delphi and continue our pilgrimage to Athens, the largest city in Greece. In this truly beautiful and picturesque place we retire for the evening, enjoying dinner together before a restful night. (B, D)

Day 7 | Athens
Today we make our way to the famous Acropolis of Athens to see the ruins of the Parthenon, Erechtheum and Propylaea. Ascend Mars Hill and hear about St. Paul speaking about the one and only God. We will drive through the city and see the Presidential Palace, the University, Library, Panathenaic Stadium, the temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. We continue to Ancient Corinth where St. Paul lived and preached for years. Our day also includes a visit to the Roman Forum, the Fountain of Peirene, Temple of Apollo and the Bema. (B, D)

Acts 17: 22-25_ “Men of Athens, I observe that you are very religious in all respects. For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands

Day 8 | Athens
Today is a free day in Athens for us to explore on our own. Tonight we will enjoy a final dinner together, sharing our wonderful memories, and of course the pictures we’ve taken and souvenirs we’ve purchased for friends! (B, D)

Day 9 | Athens – USA
After breakfast depart to Athens airport for our return flights home. (B)
